With seating for roughly 100 customers, this higher-margin, family friendly concept opens the restaurant up like a family home and offers sports, beer, wine and liquor alongside Rosati’s full Italian menu. 

For Sherry, the most rewarding part of owning a Rosati’s is seeing a full dining room of smiling people spending quality time with their friends and family while enjoying a good meal. To help ensure Rosati’s customers have a great experience, Sherry pulls out all the stops. The restaurant has a dance floor and stage used for line dancing lessons, live music and karaoke as well as pool tables and video games to keep the fun alive.

With over 50 years in operation, Rosati’s Pizza is one of the oldest surviving family pizza restaurant businesses in the United States, with unique franchise opportunities. Generations of mid-westerners have grown up with the brand and continue to spread its legend to every corner of the country.

Sherry’s late husband Randy was a “huge pizza lover” as she would say and he worked at Rosati’s as a delivery driver. They ended up buying the restaurant and the rest is history. With previous experience in the housing business, she had the business skills to own and operate a restaurant. Sherry knows Rosati’s is not a business for absentee ownership and that you need a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and work ethic with focus and attention to detail. 

As for advice to someone looking to join the Rosati family, Sherry says:

“Make sure to properly maintain your equipment and to be present at the restaurant, because no one cares more for the business than you. Staffing is super important and when you have the proper team players and team leads it really makes for a successful business.”
